Due to an audio glitch with the original upload, this video had to be reuploaded It's rare for a race car to be obviously different than all others but completely legal. That was the case with the car Sam Hornish drove in the 2008 All-Star race. Equality for all cars was a main point of NASCAR's Car of Tomorrow, but smart engineers can overcome rules. Thus is the story of how skew was pushed to...

I agree with car symmetry while standing still, at the VERY least from the top down(they really DO just look better), but as far as how it drives down the track, that should be all up to the team and driver outside of safety concerns.

The 1967 Belvedere was running a 404 CID Hemi (When Ford was GM were running 427 CID engines) and won 27 races (10 in a row at one point)? What a testament to Chrysler's engineering prowess.

I think there were many factors here... 1. Pocono area was a great vacation spot in it's early years.. by the time indy left for safety reasons, it was in severe decline.. 2. The USAC/Cart fight sure didn't help.. and 3. One of the reasons I've heard that 1 happened is so much of the profits were not put back into business to keep them updated. Meaning, the track was falling apart and with the 90's safety issues.. it left.. Sadly, much blame to go around and I know I loved the race it was one of my favorites.. but it's the tricky triangle for a reason..

I proudly have a hat and my business card autographed by Davey at his win at Talladega in 1987. I’m a helicopter 🚁 pilot and when he was killed in a helicopter 🚁 crash in 1993 at Talladega it was heartbreaking. I’ve not worn that hat since but preserve it for the memories of my days flying Channel 13 in Birmingham to the races in Talladega and Atlanta in 1988. R.I.P. brother.

I was there too, on the inside of the last turn looking down the pit straight when it happened - Raced there many years later in a Barber formula Pro Saab - Went into turn 1 three abreast with one of the guys named Tanner, who was a Goodyear engineer I believe from Akron - Ian Ashley and Elloit Forbes Robinson were also in my race - Came in 11th out of 26 - I could see the writing on the wall after that race - I was going to need a lot more money and seat time (!).

The bit about his incorrect age devaluing the insurance policies is just a blatant example of the insurance companies using a bullshit excuse to rip everyone off. How did that one data point affect any other policy? It didn't!! If insurance companies were honest it would put a lot of lawyers out of work...
